can i update using smart switch while my bootloader is unlock?

so i got a 2nd hand samsung a53 5g. i have a pc and i have smart switch installed both on my device and pc. i was wondering if can i update my a53 using smart switch while my unit has its bootloader unlocked. i got the unit with the bootloader already unlocked.

Did you try posting on XDA? I use to root and flash custom roms, kernels, etc, they are a good resource.

You might need to do it via adb command, but never unlocked a Sammy, only HTC devices.

Updates will stop if you have unofficial software installed, can update through the phone or using Samsung Smart Switch.

the a53 5g that i got is on stock rom. smart switch also detects my device and is showing me an update for the unit. i just dont know if it will work or if it is possible to update using smart switch despite having the bootloader unlocked.
