I have an A16, it updated to OneUI 7 on 7/4. Since then i have been having issues connecting to wifi. If in a wifi zone, my phone will give me the notification there is an open network, but when i do the actual search to connect nothing is listed. If i run the diagnostic it says my hardware is fine and will also say there is an open connection, again if i search the list is blank. For the phone to actually connect i have to stand directly next to the router, once i do this and it connects i can walk around as normal. Nothing else has changed and my other devises have no problem finding and connecting. I have tried clearing the cache partition with no effect.

I figured it out. Go into your wifi setting and the top right corner should be 3 dots. Click the 3 dots and a menu should come up with wifi direct, intelligent WiFi, Advance setting. You wanna Click on intelligent wifi. After you click intelligent wifi scroll all the way to the bottom and you should see Connectivity lab. Click on connectivity lab and scroll till you see custom Wi-Fi list setting.  After you click custom Wi-Fi list you should see filter option that says RSS Filter you want it set to show more. After that you should be good

So got this phone as a gift, One UI7 (just updated to One UI8 with the same problem) never had a case, wifi issues from day one.

My Galaxy Tab gets the wifi in the same spot, but not the A17 5G

Tried the connectivity labs thing and it helps the issue but doesn't resolve it,as sometimes it still doesn't see my wifi network downstairs (router upstairs)

And even if I connect to it,once the phone is idle for however long it takes (not sure) ,the wifi disconnects and that's means I would be missing messages or Whatsapp calls etc.

As was mentioned earlier in this post my issue is similar : once I connect to my wifi when I'm  close to the router it works pretty decent even walking back to areas where I wouldn't be able to see the network before, like downstairs.

But turn wifi off and on while downstairs and it doesn't see it again.

Something I noticed as well is when it does see the network downstairs ( rarely) it shows up as one bar,so when I tap to connect it almost immediately jumps to 2-3 bars like other devices in the area I could say.

So the initial sighting of the wifi being very low I guess the phone doesn't even auto-connect,which adds to the issue.

Any other fixes?
