I ask because I'd never noticed it until yesterday, when I tried to join a zoom meeting - and it failed to join?!  Teams and Google Meeting worked, and even zoom call.  When I went on WiFi I was able to join a zoom meeting.

I moved my SIM card back to my old Moto G10 and was able to join zoom meetings from there, so it's something very specific to the Samsung

Normally it's LTE with up and down arrows underneath.  This "leaf" shape is new and only shows up when trying to join a zoom meeting.

Is there some kind of firewall?  Zoom meeting uses the follow ports

  • TCP: 443
  • UDP: 3478, 3479, and 8801 - 8810

Don't think so, since when I disable VoLTE I get 3G in a leaf.

3g is been turned off by all 3 carriers i believe AI Overview

In the United States, the major cellular providers shut down their 3G networks in 2022: AT&T by February 22, 2022; T-Mobile (including Sprint's former network) by July 1, 2022; and Verizon by December 31, 2022. These shutdowns affect older phones, tablets, smartwatches, and other connected devices that rely on 3G for service.

Hi meself,

Yes, same here in Canada.  Anyhow, I'm not making the connection between Zoom failing to join a meeting and my phone going into VoLTE mode.
