What does the "force stop" function do?

Forces an app to stop running

In apps if you goto a app force stop will stop the app or turn off from function

Force stopping an application literally does just that. Stops the app from running until you or another app starts it again. This is useful for device performance as it can be beneficial to reduce the number of apps running in the background, even if the app is running in a idle state.

It shouldn't. Any apps that would hurt have the Force Stop button greyed out to prevent from such.

For example, you can see this app (which is the default Files application on my S21) has the Force Stop button disabled.
