Out of all the samsung phones I have owned this has been the worst one. I love android mobiles and I always buy Samsung devices. Tvs, soundbars, tablets, smartwatch, and phones. I have never had any problems or connectivity issues with any products. The A16 constantly needs to be charged because the battery drains really fast and takes a long time to charge. It also freezes up frequently. Worst phone ever! Do Not Take IT if offered FREE! You will regret it.

Samsung please fix this and do something with these phones.

Sincerely,
Samsung brat

You can check your battery usage and find if a particular app is draining the battery. It is very laggy tho. I have one as a backup phone with free Helium plan to use in case of no service by primary phone on trips.

A1X series phones are some of the lowest-end devices in Samsung's lineup and are designed to be basic communication devices. Because of their low price, they are often given away free as part of carrier promotions.

You are likely to encounter performance issues with tasks beyond basic communication.

While Galaxy S series devices will provide you with the best mobile experience, I would personally recommend A3X series or higher for a more refined budget phone experience.

I have a z flip now (old one) just because it didn't cost much at all. but I had an A15 before this an it did the same thing it was terrible and it's was so slow.. You touch something and it took 5 minutes just to come up.. I quit messing with the A series after that I still have it for a backup that's it
