I have been unable to transfer old text messages from an old Android phone to my new XCover 7. I used the Smart Switch app to transfer contacts, photos, apps etc., but the text messages have not transferred. Any suggestions would be very much appeciated.
If you still have the old device, download SMS backup and restore to both devices. On the old device, back up your messages utilizing the app. Choose your backup location (Google Drive, OneDrive, Local storage, Dropbox). You can then open the app on your new device and restore the backup from one of the cloud locations. Or, the app also has a Smart Switch-like transfer, to transfer your backup from one phone to the other, if you stored the backup locally.
