Suggestions for customizing your phone

I just updated to Android 16, One UI 8.0 on my A15 5G phone and I don't see any difference other than adding Gemini, which I promptly disabled. I literally no zero use for it.

Here some suggestions for customizing our phones better.

- Let us move the clock on the lock screen to anywhere on the screen, not just the top half. I'd really rather be able to place it on the bottom. To be honest, I'd rather just have the time in the top left of the status bar in the lock screen like it is on the home screen and just remove "HOME" altogether. That "HOME" should only be displayed when you have two SIM cards in use. It's literally pointless otherwise. I'd rather use that space for notification icons. Also, can you remove the lock icon? We know when it's locked and when it's not.

- On my A15, I have a notch for the front-facing camera and when I get notifications in the top status bar, they only show two icons and doesn't show more, only a dot indicating there are more notifications, but the rest of the space up to the notch is wasted. It preferable to show more notifications since there's plenty of room for more. Also, it would be nice to add an option to have the status bar gray so that we can see the notifications clearly against the wallpaper.

- Please change the battery status back to the way it was before where it was next to battery icon. Having it inside the battery icon makes it hard to read when the battery starts to go down. Also, on that side of the notch, please bring back the icon for Bluetooth. Like the previous point, there's still room to place the Bluetooth icon. I don't know why you took it off in the first place.

- Bring back the Alarm button in the drop-down quick settings menu. It's so inconvenient to go into the Clock app to turn on my alarm. Also, like with the previous point about the Bluetooth icon no longer showing up in the status bar, the Alarm icon is no longer shown. There's literally plenty of room for it!

- For the home screen, please let us choose how many rows of apps we want. having only 4x6 or 5x6 is a bit restrictive. I really like the 4x5, personally.

- Give us an option to choose which apps can wake the screen when receiving a notification. Right now, I'm having a problem with the phone and Visual Voicemail apps waking my screen and I can't stop it from doing that. I want notifications in the status bar, so blocking notifications is not an option, but with the amount of spam calls I get every day, it's annoying having the screen wake up every 15 or 30 minutes. Giving us a wake screen option in the Display Settings would help a lot.

- Give us an option to prevent incoming phone calls from interrupting music and media. Right now, I have to keep putting it on Do Not Disturb whenever I have to listen to music on my headphones. Separate Sound only works when Bluetooth is enabled, not for when I'm listening with headphones.

- Let us choose which apps have a status bar icon or a banner on the lock screen. The only banner I want for the lock screen is my music player, everything else, I want in the status bar.

- Please fix the Google Calendar app so that the home screen icon displays the day. For some reason, only some phones allow the date to change like on my previous Nokia 3.4. On my current phone, it just says "31" every day.

- It would also be great to let us choose which folders to save pictures or videos. Older phones used to have this option. Also, let us choose which folders can be accessed by apps. I only want photos in certain folders to be viewed when sending a pic through text or uploading to an app.

Very little visual changes on ui8

You can move the clock anywhere you want want and you can remove the little lock if it bothers you.,alsi you can change the icon for the lock to whatever image you want. This has been available for awhile.
