I have waited a while for 6.1 or even 7.0 but I'm stuck in 6.0, I checked a mint mobile IMEI check because I use their sim card and it said my phone is unlocked, I got my phone on Amazon.

Hey, I checked my sim status and it said nothing about a sim lock or anything.

Your model number indicates it was previously carrier locked: SM-A156U is carrier locked, SM-A156U1 would be unlocked.
