A Series & Other MobileThe A25 is probably the 4th and likely the last Samsung phone that I have had. I never had to set notification sounds for Samsung messages before unless I wanted to change from the default. This phone had nothing set for notification sounds. I have to set each of my contacts separately. Isn't there some way to set all contacts to a default sound?

A Series & Other MobileAccount>Message settings >Notifications>Allow Notifications --switched on, then same page Alerts> Allow sound and vibrations.
There is also notification types on the same page as Alerts. Mine is locked screen allowed, badge allowed, and Pop up allowed.
Sound will be the default sound for alerts or sound you selected for alerts.
One more detail in settings click notifications then app notifications scroll down to messages and switch on.
Cheers

A Series & Other MobileI checked that setting and default sound is set as I want, but yet when I go to a person who I have not texted in a long time it says: set a custom notification sound. Why wouldn't the default sound that I have set already be selected. It was on all of my other Samsung smart phones. I am ready to say goodby to Samsung phones.
