I need help getting my phone(galaxy a23 5g) to work properly with networks. I've contacted my carrier multiple times, I've spent days on the phone with Samsung and my Carrier and they both blame the other for the issue. I've tried network setting resets, ive gotten a new SIM from my carrier and even brought my phone to their in person store and they couldn't find what causes the problem making my phone only work in 5g networks. I also have issues occasionally connecting to wifi networks particularly mobile hotspots it will often say it doesn't have internet while others using the same network have a perfect connection.

Please help. I'm so sick of not being able to use my phone most of the time and the network service i pay for. Its costing me so much money and time for something im barely getting to use. I bought the phone literally 2 months ago and have spent literally hours and days on the phone trying to fix the issue ever since.

Do you have a really crappy carrier? One time I had a crappy prepaid carrier and the service was almost unusable but you really can't make calls or make texts or go on the internet? You totally should have all that unless your carrier is really messed up or you live in the middle of nowhere

Well I do live in the middle of nowhere, but other people I live with have good service most of the time except during thunderstorms with the same carrier

Do your housemates have the same phone as you?  The difference in hardware may be a factor, or maybe it's just your older hardware is not robust enough.  It is also a distinct possibility that the mobile antenna is faulty.  I once had a phone that was usually showing full bars (non-Samsung, not that it matters), but would act as if not connected to a network at all.  I really liked that phone, but had to give it up.

If it was new, out of the box from Walmart, it should still have a factory warranty and can be evaluated at a uBrokeiFix location, if there is one in your area. Or you can find a Samsung authorized service center in the support section of the members app.

If all else fails, wipe it clean, sign it out of your accounts and try to sell it or trade it in for a newer model.  I realize money may be an issue, which is why you bought the older model in the first place, but you are wasting money on a phone plan you can't use.  Can you purchase a phone from your carrier with a monthly fee added on to your plan cost?  Who is your carrier?

If you can hook up to the wifi and the wifi will use the data you use and not your carrier and I get like 90GB of data a month on my wifi alone and I end up using no premium data on my carrier plan but that's only if you have wifi

I have a similar issue with my 22ultra. Since the update, this phone won't get service except when I get to some old neighborhoods. I did everything that needed to be done with carrier and Samsung, but nooooothing. At this point, they hinted I upgraded my phone to a newer one...u see these people!!!๐Ÿ˜ฎ

One more question.  Do you have a U.S. version?  You bought an outdated, inexpensive model from Walmart, and Walmart has been known to sell non-U.S. versions.  Some will work with some U.S. carriers, most won't.  Who is your carrier?

It should be a US version. It was an AT&T Prepaid phone that was in store.
