I got a new SIM card and now my GalaxyA10e does not do voice to text unless online. I have looked at all the fixes, but usually, my phone does not have something I need to have, for example, I do not have voice input on my Samsung keyboard.
I used to be able to do speech to text for texting while being offline. At first, the message said network not available. I tried some of the fixes I found online and now the message says Voice search isn't available.
I CAN do voice to text ONLY when online or mobile data is activated. I never had to do that before.
Are you using Google keyboard/Google voice typing or Samsung keyboard with Google Voice typing or Samsung Voice typing? 1) to get your microphone back for voice input on the Samsung Keyboard, you have to go to settings/general management/keyboard list and default and turn on "show keyboard button on navigation bar". A tiny little keyboard will appear on the bottom left of your navigation bar. Long pressing this will turn the keyboard into a microphone. Leaving it as a keyboard icon will allow you to switch between keyboards (if you have multiple), or voice input. 2. If you are using Google Voice Typing, that requires you to be online, either wi-fi or mobile, as it uses Google Cloud Services. I do not believe the Samsung voice engine does that, since I don't use Samsung Voice, I don't know. Google Voice is more accurate. You may never have noticed that you needed to be online because you may have already been connected while using voice typing in the past, or you were using the Samsung voice engine.
