I'm diabetic and am wearing a Libre 3 monitor for my glucose. My monitor app needs to be constantly running in the background to determine my accurate glucose reading.

Ever since the update on 6/25/25, this is no longer happening and my monitor keeps giving me notifications regarding this. The monitor is now giving me false information.

This is extremely important so that my levels don't get too high.

Please instruct on how to fix this issue.
Thank you!

I called Libre. Since Libre 2 & 3 are being discontinued in September, there is a new app that is black with a yellow butterfly. The Libre 2 & 3 are being replaced with the Libre 2 plus & Libre 3 plus. This app will work for all 4. I'm still using the Libre 3 until they are discontinued. It seems to be working fine and running in the background with no issues. Try it and see if it helps ๐Ÿคทโ€โ™€๏ธ

@leighjay Try this:

  1. Open phone settings
  2. Click on Apps
  3. Click on the Libre app
  4. Click on Battery
  5. Choose Unrestricted

I already tried that, and it didn't work, unfortunately. I've also cleared the cache. My mobile service walked me through a lot of things that didn't work, so I tried to get in touch with Samsung, and I couldn't. So, here I am. Thank you for trying to help.

Does the app need updating?  Have you contacted the company?  There may be an update that is optimized for Android 15.  Have you tried uninstalling and then reinstalling the app?  Have you cleared the phone's cache partition after the update?

Most importantly, are you sure the app is truly not running in the background?  Open the task changer and look on the upper left for the running apps icon.  Tap the icon and see if it is running.  Perhaps the app is confused after the update.  You said you cleared the app cache, did you also clear the app data? Clearing the app data would have the same effect as uninstalling and reinstalling the app.

I have the same issue. I have a Galaxy 23+ and after the update the sensor didn't show up after the scan. I have tried all of the above and no luck! I would hate to switch to an iphone!!

Same cell phone and same issue. Libre 3 plus will send you out new sensors...but still no connection. I have reinstalled the app at least 8 times and I am on my fifth sensor with no luck. Will call Libre 3 Plus customer service tomorrow morning...6 am...usually on the phone for 45 minutes to an hour.

Just this morning Abbott customer service solved my issue with the sensor no longer syncing with my phone. Installed "Libre by Abbott" App. It recognized my sensor and now all is working. I don't remember seeing this app over the last couple of weeks. Hope this helps!
