Lag in whatsapp

I am using a Galaxy A23.

I am experiencing a serious issue with WhatsApp on my device. The app lags heavily, especially when typing or after opening it after a long time. This makes it difficult to use smoothly. I kindly request the Samsung community to address and fix this issue

I'm having the same issue on my s21 plus. The WhatsApp is almost unusable at this point.
