Activation issue not sure it should be getting uodates are you able to update apps

Only thing I can think to check if your able you imei on your account with carrier see if its correct

Ok I did get an unlocked phone I have the number 1 at the end of the system name

It maybe looking for the original carrier server i.e its att but your on tmobile for example smartswitch maybe best option

Alr I use mint mobile and I used their checker it's compatible but when I got the phone I had a hard time with their Sim tray so I turned the mint mobile into an esim

That's not the same as software updates. The phone needs to connect with the mobile provider's update server, which is how Samsung deploys updates to devices with mobile service.
