Seemingly so, but typical of large user base programs , one can pay to get Customer Support. In the case of Google , it would be the Google One App. You can use the lowest tier and it should get you the support team. (Not to be confused with the public Communities , which is like Google's version of Samsung Members ....
Huh.... I figured as Samsung users , were all using a particular type of play store /google frameworks, especially older phone users , .... I remember I was using my device without any of the Samsung account stuff and my play store looked different... When I enabled the Samsung account settings, play store took on a different look, and certain Samsung features became "engrained " into play store .... (Like customization)
Just part of the SELinux frameworks , I guess ...
Will eventually go for a factory reset , but it remains to be seen if those of us who are stuck on these old play store versions are already exploited with APTs , aka "Nosy Persistent Annoyances" (What I'd call them if they are exploited vulns )
The May patch might not be available for your phone yet.
My phone is still on the April security patch atm, and with the rollout of One UI 7, it sends specific phones like the recent XCover 7 to the May patch.
It is my understanding that those phones still waiting for the May security update will get it with the Android 15 update.
