A Series & Other MobileHello Moosani,
Thank you for posting. Welcome to the Samsung Community. We understand that the front camera is not working while in call but works well when not in call.
Sometimes, resetting camera app may fix the problem. To reset the settings Go to Settings> reset settings> reset the camera app>
Please, check that the camera has been given the correct permissions. Go to Settings> tap security and privacy> tap privacy> tap the switch next to camera access to turn it on.
Some apps affect camera functionality. Using safe mode disables downloaded apps and allows you to determine if the issue is caused by a third party app. If the issue doesn't appear while in safe mode, the problem is caused by a third party app, and it should be uninstalled. To check hold the Power button for the power menu to display> tap Safe mode> your device will restart in safe mode> check to see if error still occurs> to exit safe mode restart device.
Next, you can back up your phone and then perform a factory data reset. This will reboot your device to original factory settings. After your have backed up your device, go to Settings> Factory Data Reset> tap Factory Data Reset> tap Reset and follow the on-screen steps. Your phone will reset to original factory settings, and you will go through the initial setup.
If the troubleshooting is not helpful, the phone will need to be evaluated by a certified technician. For service in the U.S., you can take the phone to a local U.S. walk-in service location https://www.ubreakifix.com/samsung or to ship the phone in for service, please reach out to us via one of the following options:
