A Series & Other MobileI'm struggling to get this function to work. When looking through the Samsung Keyboard settings I get to "Touch and hold space bar" which shows "Voice input" Greyed out, stating "Turn on voice input in settings > general management > Keyboard list and default" but there are no options there for this. Picture included. Current Samsung Keyboard version is 5.3.50.2 and software is up to date. Does anyone else have this issue?

A Series & Other Mobile@RobAndrew In your screenshot "Keyboard list and default" you need to click on Default keyboard. A new page of settings will appear. On that screen, you will see "Voice input".
Or if you use the search in phone settings for "voice input", you will find the settings to enable it.

A Series & Other MobileThanks for the reply. Unfortunately I only get a small page stating "Choose input method" showing "Samsung keyboard" with a cog next to it as well as the "Show Keyboard button" slider option (Which is enabled) I would send a picture but this thread isn't allowing me. tapping on the cog only takes me to Samsung Keyboard settings, which doesn't appear to have any settings on voice input. I will just correct my initial post and state I'm searching for speech-to-text function, NOT vice versa.
It really does seem like there's an option missing. Or am I just missing something? As stated, I'm trying to find "Speech-to-text" and not vice versa. Just for taking notes quicker is all.
EDIT: I found permission, just needed to sign in

A Series & Other Mobile@RobAndrew Which version of the Android OS and Samsung UI is on your phone? The options seem pretty old.

A Series & Other MobileThanks for the reply, the "One UI" version is 3.1. Android version is 11. Does that answer your question? If this is old, can I get this updated at all?

A Series & Other Mobile@RobAndrew Sorry but that is the last version of the OS for that device. Android 11 was released 5 years ago. So it is pretty old. It explains why you aren't seeing the options people here are posting.

A Series & Other MobileOkay, so what you're saying is the phone is to old for the functionality, right?

A Series & Other Mobile@RobAndrew Not necessarily. I'm saying that all the suggestion you are getting are based off current Android 15 or 16. You will need to dig through history to find relevant recommendations from 5 years ago.
