From what account are you trying to change your number? Many accounts allow for Alternative methods of verification. Samsung mostly sends a push notification to your device, bypassing phone number, and an email. Depending on what account of mine has 2FA, when I log in, I usually get asked whether I want a text or email. Google sends a push notification.
I am having the same problem. I changed my phone number because I got a new phone. It was verified the Santa code. I was able to change my password. Everything worked out fine. Now return my forget my password or I even if I don't forget my password and I put the correct password in it. Wants to verify with my old phone number. And I can't deal with this anymore. Hello I need help from somebody. I changed my phone number in my 2 step verification but it keeps asking me for that code code. They're sending it to that phone number that I do not have anymore. I got a new phone I got a loan on my account but for some reason it keeps bringing up. Verify with that old phone number.While there is no way for me to verify because I don't have a phone anymore
