Blocked texts, not my doing

My mother's caregiver and I usually text back and forth during the day when I'm at work. I have not blocked her number and she has not blocked my number. However, all of a sudden, though we can still call each other, both of us receive the following message when we try to text each other, "Free Msg: Receiver (phone number listed here) unable to receive message-Message Blocking is active." Yet I have NEVER blocked text messages from this number and the owner of the other phone number has not blocked my phone number (she gets the same message when she tries to text me) AND we are both able to call each other on our respective numbers and the calls go through. I have even gone on my  blocked number list and her number is not on the list. I have a Galaxy A51 phone, model number SM-A515U. Has anyone else experienced this problem or is it just me and my friend?

@AvivaDR1952 You will need to reach out to your carrier's. It is possible that the carrier's system flagged one or more of the numbers as a spam number.

It will. When my sister phone was off I receive that same message trying to text her. That's the only reason why I said that

Never had that in many years from a phone being off nor have I ever got the blocked message

Exactly my point! My sister phone was off meaning her service was off due to non payment . Not her phone being shut off. Not sure if you know what I mean. But you receive this message . That's y I made my comment .

You answered your own situation the phone has no service so there for would not recieved any text or calls
