A Series & Other MobileAn ad appeared on a message I posted in a family chat. Is this something coming to our messages? Is there a setting to avoid these unsolicited posts.

A Series & Other MobileI've never seen an ad added to any of my messages. It looks like a third-party app might be the cause. Samsung and Google Messages don't do this. I would suggest looking into the last few apps you installed before this happened.

A Series & Other MobileUnless you have a non-standard messaging app, messages do not spit out ads. If you got an ad in a chat thread, either someone in the chat sent it to you, or you have been infected with malicious adware, or you received a spam message. Did it come into your chat, or was it a separate text. If it was a separate text, you can block the number as spam. If you are using Google messages, it will go into the spam folder and remain there until you empty the folder. If you are using Samsung messages, I understand they have similar feature, but it does not work quite the same way. I am not familiar with it. Once again, the messaging apps do not send advertisements, spammers do.

A Series & Other Mobile@UserKarch It's not an advertisement. You have link preview turned on. Due to your typo, it thinks that text is a link. The app goes out and grabs the preview which is what you are seeing.
