My a35 says the last securit patch update received was a little over a year ago. I've tried 2 different carrier's data and WiFi and got the same result of it showing no update available. tried smart switch on my laptop but it didn't show an update when I fiddled with it either.
Seen quarterly updates mention for it but that wouldn't explain the year you mentioned are you getting any errors that show up when you check for updates
