It's for clearer sound on calls and video. The second mic is actually for noise cancelling.

Most modern smartphones have had two and use it for speakerphone call as the sound came out the loudspeaker and on higherend ones like the galaxy S22 ultra has 3 and its in-between the cameras for video oddly on S22 ultra its not cutout its hidden under the glass not sure why tho..... IPhones have had 3 forever now newer one have 4 "studio quality"....lol ones
