LaundryDid the repairman replace the motor, or just said it was shot and left? If the motor was replaced, your dryer should work fine. No one knows how you used your dryer, how frequently, for how long, and what types of loads you put in. Overloaded dryers will tax the motor. You could have also had a power surge in the outlet the dryer was plugged into. As mentioned by @Pianodude58 any appliance by any manufacturer can fail at any time. If your other appliances are working fine, why borrow trouble and worry yourself about them? It would be a different story if all your appliances failed at the same time for no apparent reason, but then if that happened, I'd be looking into my electrical box.
