Wired Earbuds work but switches to speakers...

Hello Samsung members, 

I have a Samsung Galaxy TAB A

Everything works great but I use Wired Earbuds always have. 

The past month suddenly I can hear out of them but every time I

move even slightly or move the cord the player stops coming

out of them and switches to the speakers. I even had tech

support take control of my tablet but he couldn't find the issue. 

I have as of two days ago 8-09-2025 (51) new earbuds and I done a 

Diagnostic Test three times and everything works perfectly. 

What's causing my earbuds to stop and switch to speakers

and players stop?

Sounds like a hardware issue.

The Tab A has a headphone jack, correct? If I had to guess, I would say there is some kind of failure with that port.

Yes I have a headphone jack, right now I have my wired earbuds plugged in yet the sound is coming out of the speakers. From what you're saying makes all the since. I used a can of air to blow inside the jack, I done everything but nothing helps. Thank you. I appreciate your help

If the device is recent enough, you may consider consulting a certified Samsung repair center.

Alternatively, you may consider wireless headphones or upgrading your device.

Sadly no my device isn't recent but I always take very good care of my devices, this just started close to a month now and I tried everything I could by looking up this issue to having a Samsung tech support take control of my device and he didn't see anything wrong and couldn't of course fix it. I don't know where a Certified Samsung repair center could be here since I live in the country and outside of it is just a small town. I could try Bluetooth, seems many are.

I get it! I also live in a rural area. My closest repair center is a 2hr drive.

Samsung has a service center locater on their website. Maybe call before you make the trek to make sure they can fix it?

As far as Bluetooth, there are lots of solid affordable options. I use my galaxy buds fe every day.
