Usually speaking I don't have to ask for help because I'm the IT guy but I've been up for several days very tired a lot of pain and afraid every way I can to use this hotels internet to be able to you know install both my soundbar and my vacuum cleaner but they both keep failing something about the MAC address cuz it's not today to be able to finish so I changed it from randomized Mac to use the internal Mac address of both my phone and my tablet which my phone is asked myself Ultra and obviously my tabs a dinosaur but usually I can get the job done this is the first time a friend of a brick wall I shared out a hotspot on my phone and you know it works fine I actually use the hotspot for both the phone and the tablet and then using it from the same device anyway it just keeps failing and I don't know what else to do I've tried the MAC address either way I've tried removing it from smart things and we had in it I always try to beat it with a stick nothing else please help somebody I'm done with this stuff I need to get a router I think I just want to do it with what I had that way too long trying to do it.
It is possible that the hotel's wi-fi restricts certain activities or ports or number of devices that can be connected. Most do. Cruise ship wi-fi limits most things that are not phones, tablets or laptops, I don't see why hotels wouldn't.
Even IT people need help sometimes, it's not a failure when you can't solve an issue yourself - it's just an issue you haven't come across before.
