TabletsA few days ago, the window manager of my Samsung Galaxy Tab S 8 Ultra began behaving differently. Instead of apps launching with maximized windows, they launch with smaller windows. And the window of each app, as launched or when maximized, now has a top bar like that of a GUI for a personal computer. (The behavior prevails both with and without the keyboard attached.) I want to restore the old configuration; I especially dislike the loss of screen real-estate to the top bars.
The settings app on this device simply does not have any options to reconfigure the behavior. A Samsung rep asked me to do various things, and in each case I sent him a photograph of the screen, showing that the option that he wanted me to take was not available.
After a cascade of failures, that included a score of failures of a Samsung website to accept correct responses to a captcha challenge, the rep told me āNot to worryā and to take it to a Samsung store. Naturally, [1] I have no expectation that the staff at a store know how to fix this problem and [2] I'm sufficiently disgusted that I don't plan to buy any more Samsung products.
None-the-less, I'd like to get the configuration restored. So, given that the Settings app peculiar to this device is perfectly useless to that purpose, can anyone here offer an informed answer or informed guess as to how to restore the old configuration?

Tablets@Oeconomist It sounds like you have accidently put your tablet in Dex mode.
Open the quick panel by swiping from the top of the screen. Swipe down twice to fully open the panel. Click on the Dex icon to turn off Dex.
