Messages: how do I change the font in messaging on my Samsung S9FE?

Can anyone help with changing the font in messaging? I changed the display font thinking it would change messaging font but it did not. Thank you in advance

Which messaging app are you using?

Are you using Google Messages? If so, you are stuck with the stock font from Google. If you're using Samsung Messages, the font should already be implemented
