TabletsThe developers create apps for different platforms and they put in different controls for those platforms. The ability for notifications is programmed by the app developers. Contact the app developer as to why notifications are blocked on Android and/or put in an error report. I do know for a fact that if an app does not require permissions for notifications and they do not send notifications, the slider is greyed out. Similarly, if an app requires notifications to be on or doesn't want you to turn them off, the slider is greyed out in the on position. If there was a setting inside the app to allow notifications, or you get a pop-up when you open the app to allow notifications, then the slider would be active.
Do you have notification categories turned on? In an app that has different notification categories, sometimes having the categories on will turn the slider active. I cannot download the app to experiment, as it says it won't work on my device, so my guess is this is on the app developers.
