@Sveney True as Samsung did integrate the Buds functionality in the settings of device and no longer an otherwise installable standalone app. Having said that, a widget can be placed on the home screen that does the very same thing as the Buds' functions in the phone settings itself, except it is seen inactive or not, unlike in the direct settings view for it to be seen when it is connected only.
