Hello Samsung Mobile Product Team,

I’m writing as a current and committed Galaxy XCover customer, and I want to offer direct feedback on the direction of the XCover lineup.

I’ll be very clear up front: there are only two features that truly matter to me — and they are the exact reasons I buy XCover devices instead of mainstream flagships.

  1. A removable battery

  2. A 3.5 mm headphone jack

These two features are not “nice to have.” They are the entire value proposition of the XCover line for customers like me.

I was disappointed to see that the XCover 7 Pro removes the headphone jack. For the XCover series, this is a fundamental mistake. Losing the headphone jack undermines the practical, mission-focused identity that made XCover unique in the first place. This is a deal-breaker for me and others who intentionally choose this line over standard consumer phones.

My request is straightforward:

  • All XCover models — Pro and non-Pro — should retain both:

    • A removable battery

    • A 3.5 mm headphone jack

  • Pro models should differentiate themselves with flagship-class internals, not by removing core functionality.

  • The phones should continue to prioritize robustness, durability, and the highest possible level of water and dust resistance while preserving these features.

The customers who buy XCover phones are not chasing thinness, glass backs, or wireless-only ecosystems. We are choosing reliability, longevity, serviceability, and real-world utility. Removing key physical features in the Pro models moves the product away from that mission.

I want to continue buying XCover devices. But that depends on Samsung staying true to what makes this line different — and valuable — in the first place.

Thank you for your time and for continuing to support a category of smartphones that still values function over fashion.

Sincerely,
David Moore

You need to send feedback to the development team. The headphone jack is never coming back. They make USB-C wired headphones and they make adapters to accommodate those who do not want to invest in a new headset. Welcome to 2026.
