It is not a .csv file.  That is the problem that people are running into, and it is causing the problem.

As I said previously, stop using Samsung Pass and find another password manager. You can start individually copying logins to your new password manager, a few at a time when you have time to kill. It is really outrageous that Samsung chose to be so proprietary on this particular feature, since every password manager in existence allows export to a readable file/other manager. In my opinion, the fact that it cannot be exported should be disclosed before using it so that people can make an informed decision as to whether to even start with it.

Well, I guess the lesson for other users going forward would be not to use Samsung pass.  Either use any other password manager or Google password manager, as even Google downloads to a .csv file.

I understand that that does not help you in the slightest, but since Samsung Pass cannot be used on a PC, I have always used something else (personally, I use Roboform), because I wanted a manager I could use and sync on any device.

This is by design.  Samsung's saying **bleep** you to all their customers.

I'm fed up!  Android has turned into trash recently.  I really don't want to buy an iPhone or mess around with rooting my phone, But I am getting fed up, and I might.

Samsung pass has always been proprietary. It is by design to keep people who save their logins in Samsung Pass in the Samsung ecosystem.  There have always been other password managers out there, and it's a personal choice to use Samsung Pass (they do make it so easy).  Just use another password manager. As you log into sites using Samsung Pass going forward, you can save the login in your new manager, rather than hand transferring the passwords over.   Even if you decide to switch to Apple, or another brand of Android phone, you still will not be able to take your passwords with you, as Samsung Pass only works on Samsung devices.
