Why isn't there a 'remove' button like on the home screen? Why every time I long press the app I want to remove and drag it out of the folder, by either side or top, does it go back into the folder? Why, when I drag it out of the folder to the bottom, does it taunt me by showing the app drawer and then .167 milliseconds later just allow me to drop a shortcut on the home page, for an app that is already on the homepage, instead of just taking out of the folder? Why when I bring up the list of all the apps, is it only with a plus button to add an app to the folder when I can drag and drop it in? Why not have the list place a checkmark next to the apps that are already in folder and allow you, not only to select an app to add to the folder....but this may blow your mind....allow to then UNCHECK THE APP YOU WANT OUT OF THE FOLDER. Imagine how easy all of these options would be to add! Instead, I have to delete the folder, spilling every single app that was in it back into the app drawer, including the single, lone, app I wanted out, then remake the same folder I just deleted, and re-add all of the apps minus the ONE app I wanted out. FIX THIS!

Samsung Apps and ServicesTap on the folder you want to remove the app from. Once the folder populates with all the apps, long press on the app you want to remove. You should be given the choice to either select or remove. If you tap on remove, obviously, it's going to remove it from the folder. If you choose select, that means you can go and select other apps and remove them all simultaneously, or create another folder, or uninstall them all together. I hope that answered your question, if not, could you rephrase it a little more succinctly and maybe someone else can help you?

Samsung Apps and ServicesYes! This is such a pain point for me too. The fact that you have to delete the entire folder just to take one app out feels like overkill.
A simple "remove from folder" button or even a checkmark system, like you suggested, would make this so much easier. Samsung already does this well for adding apps, so it seems like it would be a small software tweak to add the reverse function.
Hopefully Samsung sees feedback like this and makes it part of a future One UI update — it would save users a lot of frustration.

Samsung Apps and Services- That solution doesn't work for the OP's issue. Your solution works only if you have a folder on the Home Screen. The OP was asking to remove an app from a folder located in the App Drawer. The OP didn't want to uninstall the app they just wanted it removed from the folder.
I posted a solution for that in a separate post.

Samsung Apps and ServicesTo remove the app from the app drawer is to uninstall the app.
The reorganize apps without dragging each individual app, you have a few options:
1) Use the Select option to select all desired apps. From there, you can create folders or drag the entire stack.
If you drag stacked apps, be aware that you must keep them in the center portion of the screen. Moving them to the top or bottom portions will move them to the home screen.
2) Open an existing folder. Press the + button. Select/deselect all desired apps.
Hope this helps!
