Weird brightness tinge

Ive noticed after the recent update when I turn my phone brightness down instead of just getting darker, like it used to, it now changes to this weird murky greenish shade and it just looks yuck and somehow more of a struggle to see and operate with. Any dark background has a green tinge to it now. I like to turn my brightness down when its dark cause I dont need to be blinded so how do I get back to how it was before? Ive tried all the usual setting changes and it seems like its just part of normal operations now but please if I can just have the old low brightness setting can someone help meee!!
