Does anyone know if their is going to be an update for Samsung Wallet here in the US region that allows the use of NFC Cards?
Also if there is going to be more companies that will opt-in and partner with Samsung Wallet to be added for NFC like ticketmaster and gyms like Anytime Fitness? I see in other countries where Samsung Wallet is practically having everything added like Apple Wallet or Google Wallet is here in the US. Just want to see if Samsung is going to start talking to companies and allowing them to use Samsung Wallet.
The issue is not that Samsung disallows companies from using Samsung Wallet, it's that companies in the US generally don't yet broadly support Samsung Wallet and are not actively seeking to register as partners.
This has a lot to do with market dominance. In the US, Apple Wallet is ubiquitous because Apple has Market dominance, and Google Wallet acts as a catch-all for Android phones.
In regions like Korea, Samsung is dominant, and so Samsung Wallet is ubiquitous for the things you describe.
Not going to argue that Apple or Google isn't dominating, but I see a lot of potential where Samsung Wallet can become way better than Apple Waller or Google Wallet. Apple Wallet and Google Wallet seen very clutter and not organize in my opinion. I just think that Samsung in this region should approach some of these companies and try to see if they would want to partner with Samsung.
Plus I have seen friends and others slowly leave Apple for either the Foldable or Flip or leave Apple because they are tired of being limited.
