Quick Share Suggested Contacts Needs a “Block This Person” Option

I’m sharing this as product feedback, not a support request.

I recently had a former abusive partner repeatedly appear as a suggested contact in Quick Share. There was no user-facing way to permanently block or suppress this person from suggestions. Standard contact and sharing controls were insufficient.

Resolving the issue required a full device reset and backend intervention by Samsung support. That’s not a reasonable or accessible solution for most users—and it presents a real safety and retraumatization risk for abuse survivors.

Suggested-contact systems need a persistent “do not surface this person” control and clearer documentation about how suggestions are generated.

Posting this in case others have experienced something similar, and to encourage Samsung to review suggested-contact features through a safety and trauma-informed design lens.

Download Good Lock's home up module. Turn on share manager, turn off enable direct share. That top row will disappear completely. You can then choose who to share with within your app selection, or the quick share icon. That's the only option, the contacts the algorithm suggests or no direct share at all.
