This is CRUCIAL, not just from a convenience standpoint, but also security. I need to be able to see at a glance if a Bluetooth device is connected to my phone, at any time.

Yes, the display of the three dots instead of the single last app icon needs to be addressed and corrected. The three dots should only appear if the number of app icons in a large folder exceeds the set matrix size.
Another needed change is adding the capability to set the icon matrix size for each large folder individually instead of only having one setting available for all existing large folders, which is impractical.

You can put your apps in alphabetical order by clicking the 3 dots in the search bar

The One UI 7 update removed a few options for customization, and it has wrecked my phone's previous layout and accessibility. The most disruptive change has been the removal of the 4x5 grid option for home screen/app panels:

  • Only options are 4x6 and 5x6 now.
  • None of my widgets are scaled appropriately (the most obvious being the awkwardly sized homescreen clock/weather widget). My current widget doesn't fit properly with the new dimensions, so I will need to find a different third party app to replace it. I understand this complaint is more of an inconvenience, but it's still frustrating.
  • Font size is extremely tiny on the app panels and widgets, but normal everywhere else. My general font is correctly sized for messages, browsers, keyboards, etc., but it's microscopic for the widgets and app labels.

A couple other comments on the update:

  • The notification panel display needs a compact layout option. The individual notification bubbles look super wide or "cozy," and the excess empty space severely reduces the number of notifications you're able to preview. I wish there was an option to condense the individual panels.
  • The scrolling app menu and search bar position changes are frustrating. I'm sure I'll get used to the change eventually, but why? Would be nice to have an option to switch to panel swipes.
  • Bluetooth icon removed from top right corner. I may not have noticed this before, but now my location icon is always displayed. If you swipe down from the top, the alarm/Bluetooth icons will show up, but I wish I could swap the display settings for location and Bluetooth (or turn off the AOD for the location icon).
  • Battery percentage display change is much harder to read. The previous layout's visibility was much better (with the number outside of the battery).

I'm sure I'll find more things I like and dislike as I navigate the update, but the removal of the 4x5 grid option has been unnecessarily disruptive to overall navigation. I'm sure I'll adjust to the other changes over time, but please restore this grid option! ๐Ÿ˜ž

You can easily fix those. Also good lock is a good customization app.

I downloaded Good Lock, and it has since corrected my scaling issue. It's just frustrating to need to download another app that collects personal info and shares data to third parties. I don't think it's too much to ask Samsung to restore a feature that has interfered with a lot of accessibility since being removed. But regardless, I'm thankful for a fix for now.

The batter percentage being practically unreadable on most backgrounds and impossible on the AOD is nonsensical. Not only is the text not readable on the AOD but they squished it to the top right (inside that tiny tic tac) rather than the nice plain text centered under the fingerprint reader. smh

Download Goodlock from the Galaxy Store and download the HomeUp module, there you will be able to get back the 4ร—5 Grid you were used to.
