No updates? Blasphemy. Do some research bro, you can apply security updates yourself and google security updates can be done through privacy and security. If you dont like it, dont do it, and move on.

Been there done that, but im on oneui 7 and have no intention of rolling back to prove a point. I bet you also believe that United States devices cant unlock bootloader either... Which is also not true. All devices can have the bootloader unlocked, it the method applied that matters. You need am unlock token wit DID number to unlock s24ultra u.s. model bootloader but can definitely be done as well as updates. I emplore you to check out XDA. 🖖🏻

I am so angry with this UI7 update. I have been using Samsung since 2008 and I am going to start researching other devices. The pull-down gestures for notifications/other settings being two different gestures makes me so angry. I have small hands, and having to reach to the corner of the phone for the flashlight, WIFI, GPS... toggles is the most asinine thing. Moving the search bar... all of it to copy Apple. The ratio for the app grids are wrong and BARELY adjustable with only 2 options.

Really, the pull-down gesture is the absolute WORST. Whoever thought of doing this and whoever approved it need to lose their jobs.

What your complaining about can be changed back to your liking. Instead of firing off, try doing some research. Also, the ratio can be adjusted greatly with way more then just 2 options.
I think people's most biggest issue is that there is no instructions on how to use with the new changes. But then again, thats why this forum exists. Why not try asking how to do this or that or if there is a way and for the love of god, use your search engines before coming on here all mad making threats. No one not even Samsung cares if you move on to another device or manufacturer or o.s.
Try asking what your specific issue is and youll likely get the answer that solves your riddle. To make it one menu again, pull down on status bar and click the pencil, then click panel settings, choose together. 🖖🏻

Is it just me, or does this horrible new update making things look and act like the nasty iPhone? I left apple years ago for Android. Did they hire some apple.person to create this useless and aggravating update? Android users DO NOT WANT THIS! It's effecting battery life as well. Fire these apple people and leave us alone! Besides, we should be able to choose whether we want such a useless update! Most people would say NO!

I hate it. I understand desire to make it easier to transition from apple to Samsung, but its a big f you to consumers (like me) who have used Samsung for over a decade. I would have been completely fine if they released a theme package that had the old look, but they're taking away customizability which is the whole point of having android. Been thinking of trying a Motorola or something, and this has def pushed me closer in that direction

My workplace uses Motorola version of Android. I'm definitely not a fan

Yeah I've heard bad things about Motorola as well. But Im not super picky. I just want a flip phone that does phone and doesnt look like Apple. Thanks for the input, tho. Helps guide my decision!
