Please include guests mode to ui 7 or multiuser feature other small phone have it talk less of High cost phone. I hear the feature is included in iPad thanks
Would love to have the ability to change/edit app names in a future update. Some apps have names that are too long to be properly displayed, while other app names can be vague or ambiguous. For example, I have some G.E. smart appliances, but the app name for that is SmartHQ. I'd love to be able to simply rename it to G.E. so that it's more clear which devices that app specifically controls.
I would suggest you to contact the app developer to have them shorten the app name so it fits.

Oh, I am squarely in the "let us change the app name" corner. Sometimes the app name is not descriptive enough and if I don't use it often enough, I forget what it does, or I forget what it's called when I want to do the thing it does.

I can see why they don't allow users to change the names of the apps because they would be some strange names for the apps and that could get them in trouble in my option

On my Windows computer, I can change the name of my app shortcuts without changing the actual name of the app. Since Home Screen and App drawer icons are essentially shortcuts, the same can be allowed on the UI. The actual app names would remain the same in the file system so that updates can happen. Sometimes I'd like to truncate, other times I would like to add something or just change it.

No one is getting in trouble because a user decides to change an app's name in the app drawer. It's not changing the actual name of the app, just what the user sees.
3rd party launchers like Nova already support this. It's time One UI catches up.
So I can ask a dozen different devs to change the name of their apps to my preference or I can simply ask 1 dev to give users the option to change names to their individual preferences. Yeah. I'm going with the latter here.
Not to mention, the developer may not name it what we want to call it. What if I want to call my weather app "hot or not"?

I can't believe I waited months for the One Ui 7 after they refused to let me have the beta. The day it was released, I almost went crazy because it didn't come to me yet. 3 days after, it finally came and it's all disappointment so far. Options are taken away for some features. For instance, I like my app screen scrolling to be horizontal. It's been made vertical and there's no changing it. App notifications no longer show on lockscreen(that might still be something I have to figure out) I'm just scared that there might be more... ๐
