Samsung Apps and ServicesI wish i could have some features from the old version of the notes app. Like colors for folders, the title placement is nor user friendly , saving to folders is not user friendly, font color for the title, no place for uncategorized notes. I need to explore more of this but i am pretty sure i miss the colors for the categories/ folders.

Samsung Apps and ServicesHey,
I wish we could. I've tried the only two options it has save as and share.
It's a pain but I setup parent folders in my files titled SNotes Sdocx and SNotes pdf. Then add Subfolders with titles that match the folder titles in the notes app. Once I've added all my documents to the appropriate folders I copy the parent folders with the subfolders to Google drive. Now I can copy all the folders back to internal storage if I need to.
It's a tedious and time consuming method so I make a folder titled SNotes and use the all notes screen to copy all the notes to one folder while I'm working on the other pain in the neck method. Lol

Samsung Apps and ServicesHey,
Haven't used secure folder In ages. Set it up just for the notes app. All my notes have been shared with the notes app in secure folder and moved into their folders. It syncs to secure folders database and does the same with backup and restore. for security. Pin and biometric.
I'm only running 2 apps in there my files and Samsung Notes.

Samsung Apps and ServicesI just started playing with S Notes newest version. I had to convert all my old notes and they came over in their original folder from the old version. I did some reorganizing a bit.
From reading the entire thread between @Goutham123 and @CLF here's some things I found.
1. In new version, you can set default folder for all new notes by creating a new note, tap title and select the folder name you want as default. This new note will save in this selected folder and for all notes you create thereafter until you change to another specific folder or set it to be a floating note (no designated folder by tapping red font "Folders" at the top of the folder list).
2. For uncategorized or floating notes with no title, the note should appear in the folder list view at the bottom of all folders you have. Since there isnt a title, the floating note will display text contained in the note itself starting with the first line in the note.
3. I noticed there is no way to discard a new note you started but don't want to keep. It just saves it automatically. You cannot tap discard or cancel anywhere. You have to go to the note and delete manually. That's a bit annoying. Cancel or discard should be built in.

Samsung Apps and ServicesSure @Goutham123 I don't use notes as much in the way you do but I like to see how things work especially when they have launched an upgraded version. I just create notes and let them pile up unorganized lol.
You can also do multi selection or bulk locking of notes. I read previous reply from @CLF that you have to lock a note one at a time, you do not have to. You can do a slew of them at once. Go to a list view where you can select multiple notes and there should be lock option at the bottom in the action bar. It will lock all selected notes.

Samsung Apps and ServicesHey,
Thanks,
Your absolutely right about not having to unlock notes individually.
The reason for requesting the option to lock a folder. Everyone organizes their notes in in a way that makes sense to them. I have a folder titled Eyes Only and inside that folder I have 27 locked notes. Each time I open the folder If I select edit, select all, unlock and then open and close a note i would have to select all notes again and relock them all. If I open the folder and select the note I need to see I unlock it and when I close it automatically relocks itself. If I could lock the folder then I could open any one of 27 notes, close the folder and it would automatically relock the folder. Just a thought. Lol.
Best regards,
CLF

Samsung Apps and Services@CLF Although I can understand how folder locking is easier to handle all sensitive notes within that folder at one time but how it does it now is still acceptable. I'd say this would be a very nice to have feature hahah.
Depending on your lock settings, it does require you to use PIN or fingerprint to access a locked note. I find it is much quicker to use fingerprint. Each time you access a locked note to edit, it doesn't have to be relocked. They are auto locked.
