Is my Google search history being saved?

I use Samsung Internet. I am signed in to my Google account. In my Google settings my Google search history is being saved. Yet when I open the browser my recent searches don't appear and I have a message saying it's not being saved due to my settings. When I click on the link for settings, it takes me to the Google settings which are on! I use the same account on another device and it doesn't have this problem. I've tried clearing cache and data, to no avail. Does anyone know what I can do? TIA!

In the browser your history would show in delete browser privacy where you can clear cookies and sites etc

I didn't say it correctly. I meant my search history.

No if I get what you're asking thevsearch bar doesn't show your search history if you type in it

There's absolutely no way to stop Google from collecting that information on your device. Even if you thought you were going to be able to delete several of them apps that people were speaking about, they still have device collection apps that you can't ever disable, or delete. Just like your location. You'll never stop them from collecting that info as well.
