Add Participants Later: Within an existing group chat, you can tap on the group name and select "Add people" to add more members.
Important Notes
Group Limits: While RCS chats can support large groups (up to 100 participants for some users), traditional SMS/MMS groups may have smaller, more limited, or restrictive, capacities.
RCS vs. SMS/MMS: Using RCS is recommended for better group functionality (naming, images, etc.).

Google Meet and Google Messages are two different things. Google Meet is usually used for collaborative messaging among friends or colleagues where multiple people can be on at the same time. It offers video chatting. Consider it like early Zoom. It's not like social media, though where groups are formed and people can join. Groups are formed by a person and they invite people they know to join.
Do a search for Google meet for a more complete explanation.
