Is it possible to allow 2x1 widgets to stack on top of two adjacent 1x1 applications or folders? This would greatly enhance the organization, versatility, and efficiency of the front screen.

So you want to stack folders and widgets? Not currently possible as the two things are fundamentally different.

You can make feature requests by visiting the support tab in this app and navigating to Send Feedback.

Your request is pretty niche, and honestly I wouldn't expect too much of a response (certainly not as soon as 8.5) but you can definitely make your voice heard by sending feedback.

Not sure I fully understand exactly what you're wanting, but DIY Home in home up allows you to overlap elements on your home screen.

The way I would explain what I want is with a quick exercise. Get any (2ร—1) widget or widget stack then get any 2 apps / any 2 folders the space those apps/folder take is 1ร—1 each so if placed next to each other horizontally their correspondence space together would be the same as the (2ร—1) widgets. SO I would like the availability to kinda stack/ hide.

Any app/ folder

That fits the same dimension size as the widget.

under the stack feature because if I go to home up it just puts an app on top and I need to edit the whole thing to get the app that is behind or move the widgets out of the way. Maybe not in UI8.5 but later maybe ?
