Currently you are limited to the few search engine options Samsung Internet has. But nearly all major browsers like chrome, brave, edge, Firefox all allow for either entering in custom search engines or index's search engines. I would really like to use my preferred search engine of choose kagi but since Samsung Internet does not index or allow custom search engines I can't do it. It would be great if you can add these simple feature that all other browsers have as I enjoy it as a browser.

Just make a bookmark to your search engine or make it your start page.

I mean yes there are work arounds but i think adding a feature every single other browser has should be added. Also it makes the search engine landscape less competitive.

So, use another browser. I see no real difference between funtionality of the different browsers.

I am š but I'd like to use Samsung Internet by adding this simple feature every other browser has. I am submitting this as feedback in hopes Samsung adds this simple feature. I think Samsung Internet has a great video player and other cool features. So it sucks they don't have this super simple feature every other browser has. Samsung is more likely to add it if we submit feedback

Well as my post says i would like to use Kagi. But still if they have major ones what's the issue with adding a feature every other major browser has so I can choose? Also I can't use other AI search engines like perplexity, you.com or maybe other less know ones like searchx, ecosia, mojeek, swisscow, brave search. So I get it most people use Google or maybe duckduckgo. But to be honest most major search engines are garbage like Google. I don't see why people would be opposed to this feature. Like you don't have to use it but as I said every single other major browsers allows this why not Samsung?

Understandable, I use start page tho but tbh like other said , just get the browser app or use it up as homepage.
Unfortunately you are the minority and is not a worth it add on because Samsung browser is not even available on pc, I am surprised they haven't get rid of Samsung Internet itself. And if I wanted to use something thaat specific I would just get the app or a workaround. If an app/service is missing something that's a deal breaker to me I would just look for an alternative, dont stress āš½
