QLED and The Frame TVsHi there. We have recently purchased a HQ60A (HG65Q60AAAWXXY) QLED Hospitality TV for our church. It is running the latest firmware (T-NKLAUABCB-2230.4, BT- S)
We are trying to turn this device on and off via an automated network based process using a PC on the local network.
When we initially try to connect to the television from the controlling device we get a popup message on the screen asking "You must grant permission for your device to connect to the TV."
We click on "accept" and from that point we are able to control the television from the PC and the device appears in the television's "Device List" as seen at
Menu -> General -> External Device Manager -> Device Connection Manager -> Device List
However, if we power off the TV and then power it on again, the device disappears from the "Device List" and we can no longer control the TV from the PC. Instead if we try to control the TV from the PC we are shown the popup message again and have to click on accept again.
We would like to be able to keep controlling the TV across power cycles without having to manually grant permission each time the television is turned off and on.
We have tried setting "Access Notification" to "Off", "First Time Only" and "Always On" but none of these settings stops our device from disappearing from the "Device List" on a power cycle.
We have been able to get this process working on another non hospitality television (Q70T) which maintains devices in the "Device List" across a power cycle so I don't think we're doing anything fundamentally wrong, but there might be some Hospitality TV specific setting that is causing the "Device List" to be cleared on each power cycle.
Can anyone help or give me any suggestions? Can Hospitality TVs be configured to remember connected devices across power cycles?
Thanks so much!
