Can't delete photos from a 2020 Frame TV

I keep getting stuck on the delete photos screen. I also can't seem to delete from the app (it lets me select, I hit remove, but nothing happens). I let it sit on this screen overnight with no luck.  

I kept trying various unplugs and restarts and nothing helped. I finally decided to do a factory reset and it only got worse. Now it shows that I still have "46 pieces", but they all appear as broken images (both on-screen and in the app).

So, at this point, I'm trying to figure out how to do a true factory reset to wipe everything and start over.
