55 " TV will not turn on

My 55" was working fine when I turned it off for the day. When I came in 6 or 7 hours later it will not turn on!

Checked all connections, power, etc. and everything is good.

It is out of warranty, should I just toss it or do you have any suggestions?

Try unplugging the power cable
Wait 30 seconds
Then plug it back in
And Try turning it on

Check the ribbon cable inside back panel.. mine after about 7 + years started popping off so I just drilled a hole i back panel so I could just push it back into place and worked like a charm for years after
