Truly wonderful monitor. Unfortunately, it installed in a HP Envy I7 with generic driver in Windows 11 Home version. Locating the correct driver on Samsung and re-installing device driver was OK.
Despite installing the correct driver, I am unable to switch to 100 hz. It isn't available as an option under advanced graphics in Windows 11. The monitor supports the higher speed, HP supports HDMI 2.0, and I am using the HDMI cable supplied by Samsung. Yet I am stuck at 59 hz.
Any suggestions as to how to proceed would be great? i.e. power down, disconnect, reinstall, etc.

Monitors and MemoryI agree that installing a graphics card would be a solution. I am using the integrated graphics on the mother board. After swapping out for a better HDMI (2.1) cable, if the screen jitters, I'll add a card. Thank You!

Monitors and MemoryThe HP Envy desktop, with I7 processor, does not support Display Port (DP). It has an HDM 2.0 and VGA output. I swapped the HDMI cable and rechecked the advanced display settings.
This desktop onboard graphics does not support 100 Hz. Sigh. The added cost of a graphics card to support 100 Hz doesn't warrant the expense considering our family computer needs. I knew, upon purchase, that HP Envy didn't support DP, and thought that HDMI 2.0 would be sufficient.
