LED and OLED TVsFrom my research it is by design to protect from burn in.(logos, words or designs becoming permanently visible on your display) Music audio should still play on spotify while screensaver is on Youtube, netflix, amazon prime etc will go to screensaver as well if you are on menu screen but should not while watching shows. It is set at 2 minutes and cannot be adjusted. I am guessing Samsung decided tv owners being agrivated without screensaver settings was a better choice then all the tv's ruined with burn in if it could be disabled.

LED and OLED TVsThis solution seems to make the most sense especially sense I'd heard OLED TV's where particularly more sensitive to burn-in. Plus, none of my settings reference a screen timeout either explicitly or implicitly and I don't have the settings the first responder mentioned. Also, it seems settings within a given model can vary based either by size or model year; and the S90F doesn't have a camera to observe the viewers eyes.
However, I don't think it's 100% accurate when it comes to detecting an active show vs dash board or home screen that's inactive. I first notice this issue while watching a youtube podcast that used dual (side-by-side) windows of discussion participants. Granted there was not a lot of screen motion in this setting, yet the issue seemed to vary from day-to-day.
So, as this responder seems to indicate, maybe Samsung decided to limit their liability by eliminating the users access to a time-out period.
