Hello!

I have a Samsung Fridge Model #: RF26HFENDSR and the ice from the ice maker consistently has small stringy plastic-like deposits in it that show up in the water after it melts.

I have torn apart the freezer and ice maker and see no signs of wear. Water isnt very hard in my area so I do not think its calcium deposits. This fridge model requires an external filter which I do not have.

Wondering if anybody else has experience with this issue? Picture attached.

Mechanically, I would still check the water line, water spout to ice try, and water valve solenoid for debris and burs left from manufacturing. Even try flush the water line a bit to see if there is any debris and if that clears it.

Also (mind you, I'm not familiar with Samsung fridges), some ice makers utilize a pusher to move the ice cubes out. You may want to check those pushers and the track they travel for loose plastic debris.
