First Samsung 4-Door Flex fridge bought from Brandsmart in May 2019; a RF22N9781SR with a 5yr warranty plan. A year and a half later fridge started having cooling issues with compressor rattling loud and since Brandsmart couldn't repair it, they gave me a refund.

Second fridge was ordered from Brandsmart in September 2021 and received in Apr 2022 because of the pandemic: a similar 4-Door Flex (RF23A9771SR) with another 5yr warranty plan. Towards the end of the year it started with the same compressor rattling issue so contacted Samsung since it was under their first-year warranty. Samsung opted to refund me, so opted to buy one directly from their website with the refund.

Third 4-Door Flex fridge, another RF23A9771SR was ordered in Dec 2022 and received in Jan 2023, with a 1-yr warranty only since I was not given the option to purchase an extended warranty, so ended up buying a Home Warranty plan to "feel protected".

So here I'm in Jan 2026 and started to have issues again. Freezer is not freezing, so not cold enough to make ice; Flex compartment shows high temp and to check door in case is opened, but no, door is closed. Upper compartment seems to be working, for now.

So ordeal begins. American Home Shield sent a first tech, but something may had gone wrong since just received a notification that case was assigned to a second tech, so waiting for their call to schedule the second appointment.

I'm very disappointed that in less than 7yrs I've been through 3 Samsung 4-Door Flex fridges, ALL with similar issues, so something must be wrong with these Samsung fridges. Love the brand, but things are not right.

And since Samsung did not provide me the option to purchase the extended warranty, I'm stuck with whatever outcome American Home Shield would provide, which I'm afraid will not be good for me.

After tinkering with Family Hub, these codes come up: RD-306, RD-406 and RD-703.

I will appreciate any feedback on how to deal with this issue, thanks.
